Bringing healthcare to the Riverstone Estate

Riverstone Medical Practice is a purpose built clinic, opening in January 2018 to service the residents of Riverstone, Doreen and its neighbouring suburbs.

In today’s modern world, a medical practice must ensure it meets stringent quality control standards, composed of highly skilled medical staff, appropriate practice managers, along with friendly receptionists and nurses. In addition to this, latest medical technology items will aid the clinic in not only effective patient record tracking, but also in diagnosing their patients in a timely fashion with reduced waiting times.

Our facilities comprise of easy wheelchair and pram access, large treatment rooms, a speciality skin clinic, a pathology lab, along with amenities and meeting rooms with presentation equipment. Our waiting area has ample space and large screen television for our patients, with an audio system built throughout the facilities.

We welcome all local and non local patients to the Riverstone Medical Practice, and look forward to serving our community.

Services

Riverstone Medical Practice offers an array of health services to the residents of Riverstone, Doreen and the surrounding suburbs. Our state of the art facilities, in addition to our Practitioner Rooms, it compromises of Treatment Rooms, a Skin Cancer Clinic and Pathology Lab.

Our services include; Women’s Health, Children’s Health, Men’s Health, Immunisations, Chronic Disease Management, Diabetes Care, Asthma Care, Dermatology, Family Planning, Sport Injuries, Travel Medicine, St Vincent’s Pathology (On-Site) and many more services.

Fees

Riverstone Medical Practice is a

Mixed Billing Practice

We will Bulk Bill patients that are:

  • Children 0 – 16 years with a VALID Medicare Card
  • Current Pension Concession / Health Care Card holders
  • Veterans Affairs Card holders

All other consultations will incur an out-of-pocket fee.

Our RECEPTIONISTS will not be able to give any advice on whether patients will be Bulk Billed for a consultation or not.

We accept payments made by EFTPOS and CASH.  If you pay with a Credit Card we will not be able to process your Medicare rebate on the spot, instead it will be processed by Medicare it may take up to 48hrs to reflect into your bank account.

REMINDER:

Our consultation times are specific related times, so please book appropriate longer consultations if required, to be fair to other patients.

Patients who are late to their consultations will likely not be seen if the doctors are running behind.

FULL SKIN CHECKS:

Full Skin Checks will attract an out-of-pocket fee Monday to Friday,

Full skin checks on Weekends will attract an out-of-pocket fee REGARDLESS OF CONCESSION STATUS.

TELEPHONE CONSULTATIONS:
A fee will apply for all telehealth consultations. Patients with a Medicare card will be eligible for a Medicare Rebate, if they have attended the practice in person in the last 12 months (Medicare ruling).

Payment will be collected prior to the consultation, via a secure payment request we send from HotDoc, or over the phone. Medicare rebates will be processed online for you.

PROCEDURES:

All procedures will attract an out-of-pocket fee REGARDLESS OF CONCESSION STATUS including but not limited to the following items: Cervical Screening, Implanon Insertion and Removal, Mirena Removals, Iron Infusions.  Your doctor will explain any additional fees to you and obtain your consent prior to receiving treatment.

NON-ATTENDANCE POLICY:

Please note that a Non-Attendance Fee is payable if a patient does not attend their appointment or cancel prior to 3 hours of their appointment time.  Patients WILL be charged an out-of-pocket fee of

$30 Monday to Saturday and $40 on Sundays.  Full Skin Checks will incur an out-of-pocket fee of $40 on any day.

This policy is in place to stop any persistent misuse of our services.

TAC & WORKCOVER:

Patients will be billed directly as per TAC / WorkCover Fee Schedules.  Total amount payable must be paid on same day of consultation.  Patients can use their invoice to reclaim the funds from their relevant authority.

MEDICALS:

Medical Assessments and all other reports will be billed directly to the patient and payable on the day of consultation.

TRANSFER OF MEDICAL FILES:

Transfer of medical files from our practice to another practice is $25 each file.

Our Team

Dr. Ashraf Zakhary
GP - M.B.B.,Ch, FRACGP

 

Dr Zakhary is interested in all aspects of general practice. His special interests are: Chronic Disease Management, Dermatology, Children’s Health, Men’s Health and Minor Surgical Procedures.

 

Dr Zakhary graduated in 1992 at Cairo University in Egypt, he worked as a GP in hospitals and medical clinics in rural areas and cities in Egypt until 2000.  He relocated to Australia where he completed his RACGP fellowship in general practice.

 

He worked in the rural area of Victoria, and held his VMO right for local hospital as well.  Dr Zakhary also worked as a Police Medical officer for few years.

 

Dr Zakhary became an accredited general practice trainer in 2013 where he continues to train medical students and GP registrars.

DR. MAGED BOULES
GP - M.B.B.,CH, FRACGP, DIP SKIN CANCER

 

Dr Boules has been practicing in Australia as a GP since 2005.  Prior to this, he practiced as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in Egypt. His interests in medicine are: General Practice, Skin Cancer Medicine & Surgery and Orthopaedics.

 

Dr Boules, since to moving Australia has practiced in rural Victoria and following this he then practiced as a full-time Skin Cancer Doctor on the south coast of NSW.

 

He is a fellow of the RACGP and has a Diploma in Skin Cancer Medicine & Surgery and Advanced Clinical Certificate of Dermoscopy from the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.

 

Dr Boules, in his own time enjoys reading, table tennis, soccer, and has a keen interest in Arabic drama and music.

Dr Hany Danial
GP - M.B.B.,Ch, FRACGP

 

Dr Danial qualified from the University of Minia, Egypt in 2004.  He started his training in Urology and worked in hospitals before changing his career to General Practice and Family Medicine.

 

Dr Danial moved to Australia in 2008 where he started working in Diabetes Prevention Programs in Sydney.  He has been working as a General Practitioner for the last 11 years in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.

 

Dr Danial gained his RACGP fellowship in 2017 and is fluent in English and Arabic languages .

 

Dr Danial’s areas of interest include: Preventative Medicine (Diabetes Care / Cardiovascular Diseases), Skin Cancer Medicine, Men’s Health and Ears Nose Throat Disorders.

Dr Sureka Vyravipillai
MBBS, FRACGP

 

Dr Sureka, graduated from the University of Sydney in 2017,  going on to general practice training after my hospital years. I have a particular interest in paediatric health, women’s health and chronic disease care.

Dr Sureka loves relationships that she gets to build through general practice. 

Dr Sureka’s door is always open and she is looking forward to caring for her community.

Outside of work, Dr Sureka, loves singing, walking her beloved new puppy, trying new foods and of course chocolate.

Dr Mamdooh Saleh
MBBS

 

Dr. Saleh, a dedicated medical professional, embarked on his journey in 2002, earning his MBBCh in Medicine and General Surgery from Cairo University, Faculty of Medicine. Over the past two decades, his diverse career has spanned across Egypt, Dubai, and Australia.

 

With a specialization in spine-related surgeries and a wealth of experience, Dr. Saleh spent almost a decade contributing to the medical field in Egypt and Dubai. In 2016, he relocated to Australia, where he seamlessly integrated into the Australian health system. His four-year tenure at public hospitals, mainly Northern Hospital and its affiliated subacute and regional hospitals in Victoria, showcased his versatility, as he covered a wide range of major medical and surgical specialties.

 

Driven by a commitment to continuous improvement, Dr. Saleh transitioned to the General Practitioner (GP) training program in pursuit of his fellowship. His dedication led him to regional Victoria in South Gippsland, specifically Wonthaggi, before he recently relocated to Metropolitan Victoria. This move reflects his determination to expand his expertise and contribute meaningfully to the diverse healthcare landscape.

 

Dr. Saleh’s professional focus extends to chronic diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure, geriatric medicine, and spine-related pathology, particularly chronic low back pain. His unique combination of skills positions him as a valuable resource in these specialized areas.

 

As Dr. Saleh continues his journey towards fellowship, his passion for medicine, coupled with his international experience and dedication to patient care, sets him apart as a valuable asset to the Australian healthcare community.
